There is a book called “How to Read a Book” by Mortimer J. Adler.
A good piece of advice I got from that book is to always have a pencil in my hand when I am reading to underline what I like or to write down ideas on the pages of the book that I am reading.
I found this exercise very helpful, and I am also starting to use it when I am consuming content on the internet by keeping a pen and paper close by so I can write down ideas that I get from the information I am consuming.
Mortimer says that a book is not actually yours until you scribble on it. And I think that is true.
You may find ideas and inspiration all around you. But you keep and biggest better what you right down.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
