Recently, I have come to realize that good people don’t need all that much most of the time.
Of course, grand gestures have their own place, and it is really nice when you can do them.
But most of the time, good people, when they are going through a rough patch, as we all do from time to time because life is cyclical by nature, just need a patient ear. They need just five minutes from you so they can lay down their “cross” and catch their breath.
After they catch their breath, look them straight in the eyes and tell them:
“Hey, you got this! I believe in you. And I want you to know I am here for you when you need to catch your breath again.”
You will be amazed by the beauty of that moment.
Share with others that beauty, so you may encourage them to do the same, but don’t share with anyone what you heard in confidence.
Don’t go babbling to others the intimacy of someone else’s cross or burden. That is just for you.
And hey, one more thing.
You got this!
Whatever “this” is for you.
I am proud of you.
Let’s go!
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
