I want you to understand something.
With or without you, the world is still going to have people who succeed against all odds. With or without you, the world is still going to produce champions. With or without you, the world moves on. With or without you, the sun rises in the morning.
You might say, but Cristian, you just don’t know and just don’t understand what I have been thru.
First of all, I do know, and I do understand. Your problems are the biggest for you, just like my problems and the shit I have been thru are the greatest for me.
Second of all, don’t complain. Nobody cares. Personal problems, family problems, existential problems. Nobody cares. We all have ower own, and they are hard to carry, so we don’t have the time or the energy to care about yours.
And third of all, what now? Yes. You had a hard childhood. Yes. Nobody understands you. Yes. You deal with addiction. Yes. People disappointed you, and they hurt you. Yes. Yes. Yes.
And? Do you think you are the only one?
I heard someone say the other day: “Next time you see a strong and wealthy family, just remember that that family was not always wealthy and strong. They became wealthy and strong when “the one” showed up.” And that hit home with me.
I am that one in my family. I am that one, or I am going to die trying.
But Cristian, I am tired. Perfect, do it, exhausted.
But Cristian, I am upset. Awesome, do it, upset.
But Cristian, I am depressed. Perfect, do it, depressed.
But Cristian, I am lost. Great, do it, lost.
But Cristian, I am alone and lonely. Yes, do it alone and lonely.
But Cristian, I am a sinner. Yes, so are we all. Do it!
But Cristian, I don’t feel close to God. So what?
Do it on your knees, crying. Do it! One more prayer! One more step! One more day! One more page! One more!
The difference between the ones who get to write their name on the wall of champions and the ones that don’t is that the winners don’t stop.
They wake up and do it regardless of how they feel.
They clean their house, they read another page, they work out, they write another sentence, and they pray to the One and Only God every day, regardless of how they feel!
They just wake up another day, and they do it!
And the rest complain!
Romans 12 21: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Who are you?
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
