It’s a paradox of our modern world- never before have people been so comfortable yet so burdened by their egos, leading to a unique form of suffering.
Everywhere you turn, you encounter individuals who perceive themselves as kings and queens, a testament to the pervasiveness of self-importance in our society.
We are so ‘in love’ with ourselves that we often overlook the fundamental truth-we were never meant to stand alone, but to thrive in the embrace of a community.
Kings and queens without kingdoms.
The quality of a king or a queen is determined by the quality of life of their subjects.
If everyone around you, the ones who form your “kingdom,” is well-fed, well-dressed, and peaceful, it is a good sign that you are a good ruler or leader.
But if you stand alone with no one to keep you company at night. Crying yourself to sleep while feeding yourself with your own delusion of being special and unique, what kind of king or queen are you?
Kings and Queens.
Alone.
No partners.
No children.
Nu subjects.
Maybe just some fools around to make us feel special and superior.
We are not kings and queens.
We are just disconnected, ego-centric, alone, and lonely.
It is never too late to come back down from the pedestal we built for ourselves, find someone at least as imperfect as we all are, and form a beautiful family.
It may take us five or ten years to do that. But five or ten years is better than never.
Time stops for no one.
Let us invest our time wisely and stop misspending it.
Kings and Queens without Kingdoms.
Let us rather be beautiful and imperfect human beings who form families and communities.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
