My cousin and I were talking about relationships.
My 82-year-old grandfather overheard the conversation and started laughing and laughing hard.
When he finally stopped, he said: You two have no idea what a relationship or a marriage is. You don’t have the capacity to understand that two individuals representing two families meet and are faced with the privilege of forming their own bloodline and family.
Do you want to know why so many marriages fail these days?
Because most of you are never actually married. You are only married once you take divorce out of your being. In this generation, people get married to tick a box on a checklist.
It used to be until death do us part. Now it is until I feel good and it’s convenient for me.
Wise people focus on their yard. Watering their own grass.
Lazy idiots look over the fence where the grass always seems greener.
You have something “good”, and you leave it for something that seems “better” but by the time you realize that “better” ain’t “good”, “good” found something “better”.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
