Working for someone else for forty years does not make sense, no matter how you look at it. None whatsoever.
Working for eleven months to have one month off? Nonsense.
Freedom. Freedom should be your first and only goal as a human being.
You have a monthly income depending on your skill set and the country you live in. No matter how large or small that income is, you can still save at least 10% monthly. That 10% should go into stocks that pay dividends, like Coca-Cola.
That is the first step to freedom as a human being.
The second step to freedom is personal development.
Jim Rohn had a quote that goes: “You should work harder on yourself than you do on your job.”
Become mindful of the way you dress. Always be clean and decent.
Become mindful of the way you speak. There are moments and places where you can joke around, and there are moments and places where you should be serious. Learn the difference.
Become mindful of your handshake. A good and firm handshake can make the difference between “You got the job” and “We are sorry, but we hired someone else.”
And please stop buying dumb shit for a while.
Constantly improve your skillset and update your CV. Being faithful to a company is insanity because no company is loyal to you. As soon as you don’t perform as required, whatever the reason behind that is, you will be replaced. Even if you have a great job with competitive pay, you should still search for better opportunities. Why not? Freedom is the goal, remember?
No matter how old you are, you should still try to achieve freedom.
You should still aim at it no matter how long it will take you to achieve it.
Let’s say you are forty years old, and it will take you twenty years to achieve freedom.
Is it better to be free at sixty or never?
Think about that for five minutes, no longer, and get moving.
You already know what to do; it’s been bugging you for years.
Now go do it.
See you on the other side.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
