Forgiving others from the depths of your soul is not just a blessing or a gift but a powerful act of self-liberation. It’s one of the most selfish and empowering things you can learn to do in your life.
The Buddha once said: “Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.”
If I have wronged you and you hate me and are angry with me, it means I have control over you. Every time you see me, your behavior changes. You become defensive and bitter because of your anger toward me.
Romans 12, 19 – 21: “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Become selfish.
Forgive.
Let go and be free.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
