“No relationship, no problems” – gets posted quite often, and it amuses me every time I see it.
It is true that a serious and committed relationship has its challenges. It is not easy to consider someone else’s view of the world.
It is true that time passes, and the two people who met at one point and fell in love can become two strangers in the same house ten years down the road. In those cases, divorce soon follows. And trust me, divorce is not for the faint-hearted.
This is one extreme, but the other one – no relationship, no problems is not better.
It is worse.
Everything is better when shared. Happiness is greater, and pain and suffering are bearable when shared.
Think about it. If you got everything you ever wanted tomorrow but did not have anyone with whom to share it, you would be one of the saddest people on this planet.
“No relationship, no problems” is the sign of those who give up after trying everything from the buffet.
“No relationship, no problems.” – is a white flag.
Last but not least, “no relationship” means a whole lot of problems you could never imagine.
People are social creatures by design, so “no relationship” means higher levels of depression and anxiety.
Higher levels of depression and anxiety bring bitterness.
“Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”
Remember that.
The more accurate statement is – “No relationship, more problems.”
And one more thing. A relationship means a deep connection with another human being. Multiple fuck buddies are not a relationship.
A deep connection means you actually dare to open yourself up to another person.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
