It is easier to create and write down your goals and your plans than to follow them.
Why?
Because it becomes boring after a while.
Boredom follows in every project or endeavor right after the surge of joyfulness you get when starting something new wears off.
Husain Bolt famously said:
“I trained for four years to run 9 seconds, and people give up when they don’t see results in 2 months.”
Do you think he was always joyful and motivated in those four years, 1460 days – 35040 hours?
I highly doubt it.
I am betting he was frustrated at times.
Angry.
And bored out of his mind.
You need to have the discipline to go through the boring phase to see the finish line.
Stick to your guns.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
