It is okay to feel doubt or doubtful.
I don’t know about you, but when I was at the lowest point in my life, I wanted to be perfect, to feel perfect all the time, and that was my greatest enemy.
It is okay to be doubtful about different scenarios or people in your life, but it is not okay to sit in doubt.
It is okay to feel fear about different situations in your life, but it is not okay to sit in fear.
Not being able to make a decision is still a decision. You decided not to decide.
Every decision brings results and consequences, and I don’t know about you, but I would rather fail by choosing the wrong path than fail by not choosing anything and remaining crawled up into a ball filled with fear and doubt.
A great thing that I have learned on my self-development journey is the fact that there is a communication channel between my emotions and my thoughts. Meaning that my feelings influence my thoughts, and my thoughts influence my emotions.
This lesson is very empowering and freeing because even though I can’t choose what thoughts come into my mind or what feelings come into my body, I can select which thoughts to entertain and for how long in order to change how I feel.
It is okay and normal to have negative thoughts and feelings, but you don’t have to let them overcome or overpower you.
You are not your mind or your thoughts; you are not your body or feelings.
You are the silent observer who can, with practice, use the mind and the body as a tool to your advantage.
Like with everything else, practice makes perfect, and above all, be patient with yourself.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
