The norm in society is and has been for the last couple of generations to color inside the lines, work hard in school to get a good job, get that job, get married, have children, and leave.
Leaving as soon as possible is preferred because paying a pension is not profitable for the government.
95% of the people alive right now and 95% of people who ever lived did just that. They are remembered in their own families for two or three generations, and after that, they are gone forever. Like they never existed.
Work hard all your life to buy things you don’t need to impress people you don’t like.
I’m not saying that it is good or bad. It is just the reality. The norm. One way to do it.
The other way to do it is how the 5% do it. These five percent are the out-of-the-norm people. Yes, you guessed it, the crazy.
They are called crazy because they risk everything, even existence, on a dream. A dream they have inside of them that they just can’t let die along with them.
Friends, family, children, and health come second to what they want to accomplish or express.
Crazy, right?
I am telling you all this because you may be in that 5%, and maybe you are still struggling with the opinion people around you have of you.
Understand that you seem crazy to them. Because you are out of the norm. You are not normal, for one. You scare them. People get scared of what they don’t understand, and it is easier to call you crazy than to try and understand you. They don’t have the time for it.
The other reason people may “attack” you is that they also have their dreams, and at some point somewhere back, they chose not to follow them. Or they tried for a while and gave up, and now they need to make you give up so they can feel better about their own decision. It is not about you; don’t take it personally. It is about them.
The third reason people may want to pull you back is because they don’t see your dream, and they are not supposed to. Your dream is your dream. Stop sharing it with other people.

So, my friend. If you are still here reading this, the conclusion is to shut up and mind your own business.
If you want to be in the 95%, it is okay. Shut up and mind your own business. Your choice is the best for you. It is not the best choice for everyone and certainly not the only one.
If you choose to be in the 5%, it’s okay. Shut up and mind your business. Stop telling us how hard it is. Of course it’s hard. Who are you to get it easy? Stop telling us how people don’t understand you. There are days you don’t understand yourself.
Make a choice, shut up, and mind your own business.
And one more thing.
God. You definitely want to look into that while you are here.
I heard someone say that God is the kind of person you want to know before you meet. That makes a lot of sense to me.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
