I was playing with the idea that wisdom and love must be the reason why humanity exists as a species, and now that artificial intelligence is here, it confirms that for me.
This post may sound a bit off, but please bear with me.
If you look at the human race from an intellectual standpoint, there is no reason for its existence.
About 200 years ago, we started industrialization and, with it, different means of transportation and communication worldwide. So, to be fair, we may assume that we have 200 years of civilization or an actual worldwide society. Before that, you could look at the human race as being, more or less, tribal.
Still, in the past 200 years, we had the Great War and the Second World War.
Let’s assume that The First World War was a mistake. It happens. Right?
But for The Second World War, there was no reason, explanation, or excuse. We should have known better.
The Second World War is the lowest moment in human history. Period.
Millions of people were killed with bestiality beyond those who died in battle. I would suggest you read Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl to glance at how people were treated by other people in the concentration camps.
So, from an intellectual standpoint, there is no reason for humans to exist. The human race produced the worst things and the most suffering that the human race has felt. No natural calamity killed more people than people did. I don’t think that even the great flood in the book of Noa from the Bible killed more people than people managed to kill in all the wars we fought against each other throughout history.
As a species, we consume resources without producing anything beneficial for the Planet. We pollute with noise, smoke, and plastic.
From an intellectual standpoint, we are the worst thing that could happen to this Planet. We are like a plague for nature, animals, and the Planet.
And yet, we are still here.
Only wisdom and love can have the necessary patience with such a dumb race.
Only wisdom and love could protect us from self-destruction.
And now, when artificial intelligence is here, only wisdom and love can control it.
Thank God that God is the spring of wisdom and the purest form of unconditional love.
It is more evident than ever that God created us just for Him and for no other reason whatsoever.
Praise the Lord.
With love, yours truly, Cristian.
