When should I start a relationship with God?
That is an excellent question with only one accurate and straightforward answer. You should start building a beautiful relationship with God, The Force that created the whole universe and everything in it, on the days He wakes you up.
I invite you to do a Google search on “World Death Clock”. That clock calculates the number of people that die worldwide every second. According to that tool, about 153 000 people die daily, 6 300 people per hour and 100 people every minute. I use the oversimplified term “people”, but they are not just people. They are someone’s parents, mother or father, grandparents, brothers, sisters, friends. Loved ones. They are gone forever.
So, if God woke you up today, it means you are conscious and alive, and you can talk to Him.
How should I start?
I’m glad you asked. I am sure you’ve met people before. But, of course, God is not people. He is the spring of Wisdom. He is unconditional Love. He is Life. He Is!
Start simple and use your own words. He knows you. He knew you before you were born. He created you. He knows everything that you have done. He is omnipresent and all-knowing. But He is also a gentleman and
He will not invade your life. He does not need us, we need Him, but He wants each and every one of us, and that is unconditional Love.
So start talking to Him. Just begin, and He will do the rest. He will teach you how to pray. He will teach you how to eat. He will teach you how to dress. He will teach you everything.
Just begin. Hello God, it’s me. I’m sorry it took me so long to talk to you. Thank you for waking me up today and giving me another opportunity to get to know you. Thank you for bringing me to this text that teaches me that you are present and interested in me, a sinner. Thank you for everything, my Father, my Creator, my Life, my Lord. Thank you, my One and Only GOD!
Why should I start a relationship with God?
Well, first of all, let me ask you why not? What could be a good enough or wise reason not to do it? Think about it, as hard as you need to, and let me know.
First of all, we all need guidance and wisdom, but one of the most significant benefits of building a relationship with God is the forgiveness and healing it brings. No matter how far we have strayed, God’s love and mercy are always available to us.
Building a relationship with God is crucial for spiritual growth and personal development. It allows us to feel a sense of purpose and meaning in life, to have a sense of direction, and to make better decisions. It provides comfort and strength during difficult times and gives us hope for the future.
No matter what we are going through, God is always there. He is our rock and refuge. Always ready to listen to our voice and to our prayers. Building a relationship with Him allows us to feel His presence and to trust in His plan for our lives.
Begin. Don’t trust me. Trust Him and begin.
The devil.
The Book of Job from the Bible:
“One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them.
The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.
“Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.”
The first thing we learn from this beautiful text is that the devil is not a force but just tolerated. Satan presents himself before God if he is asked to do so. He does not even have the power to address God unless he is first spoken to.
I wanted to address this matter because I hear people tell us that there is a war between good and evil and that we must fight the devil. No, we don’t. To fight the devil, you need to give him your time and attention. Don’t. Why would you?
All your time and attention should go to this universe’s One and Only True Force.
God, and nothing else. Start talking to Him.
NIHIL SINE DEO!
Everything with Him.
Yours truly, Cristian.
