How could you be brave unless you feel fear? Being brave is not the absence of fear. Being brave is feeling fear and proceeding despite the fear.
How could you be strong unless you were once weak? All the strong and competent people I have met went through a period where they thought they couldn’t make it.
How do you expect to become the person you want to become if you don’t go through the things you fear going through? You only get to be the person you dream of being if you go, head first, into the furnace of life. Let the fire melt you down and let life forge you into the weapon you want and need to become. Trust the process.
What better way to honestly, and from all your being, believe in God if you have not seen hell? I know people that are going to church for 20 years but have never met God. I did not find God in church. I met God in the depths of hell when He grabbed my hand and pulled me out.
“Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.” – Maya Angelou.
“Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees the others.” – Aristotle.
“Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” Billy Graham.
Embrace the process. Breathe for one second, be proud of yourself, pick yourself up, and let us move. Left, right, left, right …
We got things to do!
Yours truly, Cristian.
